One product, several useful fields

Product title — identify what is sold.
Short description — give the essential details.
Full description — explain specifications and use.
SEO fields — prepare the search title and description.
Image alt text — describe the relevant photograph.

Connect the right client store before choosing products.

The product workflow is for agencies and freelancers preparing WooCommerce content across client campaigns. A campaign can have its own WooCommerce connection, while the credit balance stays with the account.

Authorise the connection

Use a WooCommerce REST API key with the access needed for reading and updating products. The store owner creates the key in WooCommerce, then enters the store URL, Consumer Key and Consumer Secret in the campaign’s store connection. Keep the credentials private.

Test, then select

Test and save the connection. Download the products you need and move selected items into the imported workflow. Begin with a small, representative set so you can verify the store’s fields and layout before preparing a larger batch.

The live store should be reachable over HTTPS. See the official WooCommerce REST API guide for key creation and permissions. Connecting or downloading does not itself publish new product copy.

Review each field for its purpose.

A product description should help a shopper decide, while the metadata summarises the page. Treat the fields separately rather than repeating the same paragraph everywhere.

Short and full descriptions

Put the key dimensions, material or compatibility details in the short description. Use the full description to explain the product in more detail. Check how your theme displays both areas, including lists and spacing.

SEO title and description

Prepare a readable title and a specific page summary. The verified export uses Yoast metadata keys for SEO title, meta description and focus keyphrase. If your site uses another SEO plugin, confirm the field mapping before export and verify the rendered page.

Image alt text

Describe the actual image: its product, visible view and useful detail. Review the featured image and gallery after export. Avoid stuffing keywords into alt text or claiming details the photograph does not show.

A WooCommerce example: a linen cushion cover.

Fictional product and editorial wording. These fields illustrate a review; they are not a client product or proof of ranking performance.

Facts to verify

Item: cushion cover, not a filled cushion.
Size: 45 × 45 cm.
Material: linen.
Colour: natural beige.
Closure: concealed zip.
Included: cover only.

Confirm the fibre composition, care instructions and size against the supplier information. Leave unsupported care or durability claims out of the draft.

Reviewed field examples

Product title: Natural Linen Cushion Cover — 45 × 45 cm
Short description: Natural beige linen cushion cover with a concealed zip. Measures 45 × 45 cm; cushion insert sold separately.
SEO title: 45 × 45 cm Linen Cushion Cover | Example Store
Meta description: Explore a natural beige linen cushion cover with a concealed zip. Check the 45 × 45 cm dimensions and product details. Cover only.
Alt text: Front view of natural beige linen cushion cover on a chair.

The “cover only” detail belongs prominently in the copy because it affects the purchase decision. Use the alt text only if it matches the actual image.

Stage the draft, export selected changes and inspect the live page.

AI preparation and live delivery are separate steps. Review the generated or manually edited copy, save the approved fields and stage the product. Confirm the store and selected products before exporting.

Before export

Verify product identity, facts, the selected fields and destination store. Check the displayed credit cost before AI generation. Keep a copy of important existing copy before changing a live product.

After export

Open the product page and inspect the title, short description, full description, images and SEO metadata. Check mobile layout and the rendered output from your theme and SEO plugin. Mark the work complete only after that review.

Use the product workflow alongside the store’s SEO setup.

Seller’s Bay prepares and delivers product content. Your WordPress theme and SEO configuration still control page layout, structured data, canonicals and indexing. Product copy work also needs category navigation, sensible internal links, available stock and a usable shopping experience.

Start with the WooCommerce SEO checklist for the wider review. Use rank tracking and reports to measure and explain the available campaign evidence. A successful export is a content update, not evidence of higher rankings or sales.

AI product actions use credits. Feature access and campaign limits depend on the account and plan; check plans and credit options and the cost shown before running a batch.

WooCommerce product SEO questions, answered.

Is this a WooCommerce SEO plugin?

This page describes the Seller’s Bay campaign product workflow. It connects to WooCommerce and prepares reviewed updates. It works alongside the store’s existing WordPress theme and SEO setup.

Which fields can I review?

The staged workflow supports product titles, full and short descriptions, SEO title, meta description, target keyphrase and image alt text. Check the selected product and export fields before delivery.

Does it work with every WordPress SEO plugin?

The verified export uses Yoast metadata keys. If the store uses a different plugin, verify compatibility and the rendered metadata before exporting; do not assume every plugin uses the same fields.

Can I edit AI product copy?

Yes. Check specifications, included items, claims and wording before staging and exporting the approved content.

Will it change every product automatically?

Use the selected-product workflow and confirm the export destination. Draft generation is separate from live store delivery. Start with a small batch and check the live result.

Does it change the theme or checkout?

The product-content workflow does not replace the store’s theme or checkout. Review the actual product layout and SEO output after delivery.
